Employee Motivation

The Employee Satisfaction and Commitment survey conducted has been periodically showing an increase year on year, placing Canon amongst the top 10% companies in India.

Communication

To establish the connect with employees spread across various geographies; we use several media. Our CEO addresses all the employees every month in an open house on important business goals and directions. “Frankly Speaking” is our very own CEO blog where he shares his personal experiences and insights. Employees are encouraged to share their thoughts as well. Our internal newsletters are an important medium to share information, celebrate milestones and achievements

Reward & recognition

The Organization appreciates the efforts employees make, and rewards outstanding results with many types of individual and group performance awards. Some of our signature awards are President’s Award, Annual Performance and SPOT award for instant recognition. Domestic as well as international trips are organized for our high performers.

Employee Engagement Activities

Our employee engagement team has created a platform for employees and their families to interact and bond with each other. Events such as Family Chalo Office, Family Day, Diwali celebrations, year-end party and sports events are held all across India.

Organisational Practices

To build a coherent Organizational culture, we follow various practices, such as Passion Mondays, Delight Day (an ISO 14000 initiative), Good Morning Walk, Flash Mobs and ‘I am OK’, which is an employee safety portal deployed at Canon India for tracking safety of its employees in an emergency situation. Thank You Cards are practiced to encourage the culture of appreciation and gratitude. To encourage the culture of Kaizen, Breakthrough Awards are awarded to the best innovative idea having highest impact on Cost reduction, Customer Delight or Productivity increase.

Community Involvement

We are committed towards improving the quality of lives of people in the communities in which we operate. We wish to be a company which is respected by people for its commitment towards social causes. We aim to achieve this by keeping in mind our corporate philosophy, Kyosei, which means living and working together for the common good.
