We stand united in the battle against COVID-19

Pledging to support towards India’s fight against COVID-19 pandemic, ‘Canon India Involve’ supported adopted villages across the country and SOS Children’s Villages. Hand sanitizers and antiseptic soaps were deployed in Resource centers, Vocational centers and Vision centers in the villages. For vision center, surgical masks are being provided to visitors and patients.

Informative posters on COVID-19 symptoms and Dos and Don’ts in English and local languages will be displayed at common meeting points to create awareness among villagers. To ensure the safety and well-being of the community, we provided essential ration and sanitation items.

Support to our adopted villages -To equip villagers with food essential, 3 000 dry food packets were distributed to more than 12,000 people including, the daily wagers and Below Poverty Line (BPL) families. The food packets include necessary ration items such as rice (5 kg), flour (5 kg), pulses (1 kg), salt (1 kg), sugar (1 kg) and cooking oil (1 kg).

Support to SOS Villages – Sanitation items were provided to SOS Children’s Villages of Faridabad and Hyderabad to equip them with ample resources to encounter COVID-19. We provided sanitizers, liquid soap, cotton masks and home cleansing products. The support reached to 500 children and caregivers residing in these SOS villages for a period of one month. Children were also given awareness sessions on preventive measures in small groups.
