Education
A total of 259 children participated in the Resource Center activities with 2 dedicated teachers.
- An exposure visit was organized to the transport museum for 25 children
- To communicate the progress of the children to parents, meetings were organized on a regular basis. A total of 12 meetings were conducted
- Various cultural and sports programmes were conducted throughout the year
- School children conducted rallies 8 times a year on various social issues
Environment
- Under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, cleanliness action was organized in each quarter, in which 111 people from the community actively participated
- Tree plantation drive was conducted in the village. School children and community leaders actively came forward and planted 200 trees in and around the school premises
- 15 kitchen gardens were established in the community
eye care
- During 2019, 4 eye camps were organized in the village and nearby communities which reached out to 637 people
- 810 patients visited the Vision Center for eye check-up
- 58 community members and 13 children were referred to the hospital for further treatment to the nearby government hospital, one of them underwent cataract surgery
- 214 community members were diagnosed with poor vision and were provided with free spectacles
empowerment
- In order to empower community youth, 3 months of computer training course was conducted at the vocational center. During the year, 47 children graduated from 3 batches. All students were given certificates for successfully completing the course
- Also, 297 children from primary school were enrolled to learn the basics of computer operations as a part of their curriculum
Infrastructure Development
- Installation of a 2000 litre drinking water station with the RO facility was done
- Installation of the groundwater recharge & rainwater harvesting system
- A play area for the children was developed
- Toilets for boys and girls were renovated
- Whitewash of the school building was done
