Situated at a height of 4250 meters , Pangong Tso is one of the largest brackish lakes in Asia. This charismatic lake is stretched over one 30 km across the India China border and is about 6 hrs drive from Leh through the dramatically scenic countryside of Ladakh and the Chanla , the third highest motorable mountain pass in the world.While the summer is very short in Leh, this famous waterscape looks magical under clear summer sky and attracts millions of tourists every year. This long-xposure shot of 80 sec was taken in the evening, when all the day tripper returned to city and that’s the time to experience the paradise in earth, specifically the travelers simply seeks solitude in much talked about destination.

The image was taken during full moon last year . I was trying to capture the full moon rise during sunset time but at that point of time the sunset was over. I tried again in February 2020 but failed again. And in March 2020 I got the desired shot I was looking for. But this shot is very special to me as I learned about the moon phases and its trajectory. So much to learn, so much to share
