Lion cub Yawning at gir forest

Early morning drive into the forest, we were looking out for the big cat which could make a movement at any point of time. As the dramatic enviroment was perfect for the frame i planned the image instantly where morning hues merged in forest's green and black orange predator was out on morning prowl gave me perfect habitat shot.

Lion Cubs may sleep as few as at twelve hours but as many as twenty hours. When they are first born, lion cubs spend much of their time eating and sleeping. Their naps are broken up mainly by the need to fill their bellies. As lion cubs get older, they become more energetic and begin splitting up their sleep with eating and playing. Eventually they develop the same sleeping habits as their adult pride members.

Indian Russell's Viper is known by a number of other names, like Daboia, Tic Polonga, etc. A highly poisonous snake of the Viperidae family, it is scientifically known as Vipera russelli. Russell's viper is responsible for most of the snakebite deaths within its habitat. It is light brown in color and is covered with three rows of dark brown or black splotches, bordered with white or yellow.... Characteristics Russell's Viper is responsible for the more deaths due to snakebite than any other venomous snake. It is highly irritable and when threatened, coils tightly, hisses, and strikes with a lightning speed. Its hemotoxic venom is a very potent coagulant, which damages tissue as well as blood cells.
