Shot this beauty in the middle of the Vembanad Lake in Kerala. Though I would have preferred if this little bird was perched on a tree branch for the more natural look, the bird was perched on one of the many bamboo poles in the lake that marked the boating lane. This was a good vantage point from where it could see and decide what its next meal would be.

Serious warning to keep off by the Alpha Male of Lion Tailed Macaques. Always respect the boundaries of a wild animal, you never want to be on the wrong side of the line.

Amazing experience... Not a fancy attractive picture, just a greater flamingo in the middle of the Yamuna River. There's nothing existing to share with you but what interesting is that I didn't even know there was a greater flamingo bird until I I saw it through my view finder and that's when I saw one for my self. Even at 600.00mm the bird looks very tiny, you can imagine how far it must have been. I could hardly see it through my naked eyes but I enjoyed knowing it was there.
