Jainy took to birdwatching and serious bird photography about 10 years ago. She has traveled to almost all birding destinations of the Indian subcontinent. Her photographic collection include more than 1100 birds, about 50 rare mammals and butterflies from India. She has also traveled extensively to many countries of South East Asia to capture many endemic birds of the region. One of the most rewarding birding sojourns that she enjoyed most was capturing the Birds-of-Paradise from West Papua and Papua New Guinea. Other favourite birding spots include many regions in the United States, United Kingdom, Europe and Africa.
