Nitye Sood

Cinematographer and Wildlife Documentary Filmmaker


 Nitye is a National Geographic Explorer, cinematographer, and wildlife documentary filmmaker. Over the last few years, he has filmed, directed, and produced for international broadcast networks like Nat Geo Wild, Netflix, the BBC, Al Jazeera, and Discovery Channel. His skills include high-end wildlife camerawork, underwater filming, drone operation, and time-lapse photography. Nitye brings his visual aesthetic and technical expertise as an engineer to the films he makes, and enjoys filming topside, underwater and aerials. As a cinematographer and unscripted producer, he works with a diverse crew including cameramen, sound recordists, writers, and directors to create films that are premium and impactful. Prior to his foray into documentaries, Nitye worked on an Academy Award nominated film titled ‘Court’.Nitye recently filmed and produced ‘Peng Yu Sai’ which was nominated for the Green Oscars and won a Special Jury Award at the prestigious Jackson Wild Media awards
