LUCIA PRO Pigment Ink & Chroma Optimizer
Developed for the imagePROGRAF PRO Series with a wide colour gamut, the LUCIA PRO pigment ink delivers excellent colour expression, superior dark area reproduction, low graininess and good gloss characteristics. The 12 colour PRO Series printers use transparent Chroma Optimizer ink to produce three-dimensional like output on gloss media.

Non Stop Printing
The Sub-Ink Tank System ensures no disruption in printing. It allows you to replace cartridges even when the printer continues to print and allowing you to virtually use all the ink in the tank before replacing it. This is extremely useful during your long print jobs.
Non-Firing Detection and Compensation System
The in-built sensor in the printer detects any blockage in the print head nozzle on the fly. Once detected, another nozzle starts firing automatically immediately thus providing a backup. This prevents any wastage due to banding issue and also reduces head cleaning frequencies thus saving on the ink.
Media Handling Simplified
Media loading and detection is simplified to “simply place the roll” into the printer. Printer will automatically carry out necessary adjustment and enters print-ready state with minimal supervision. Automatic remaining media estimation will display remaining roll amount on operation panel and send out alert when media is not sufficient to complete the print job.
LUCIA PRO Pigment Ink & Chroma Optimizer
The LUCIA PRO ink set adopts 11-color pigment inks and Chroma Optimizer to achieve enhanced dark area reproduction, low graininess and good gloss characteristics. The Chroma Optimizer produces three-dimensional like output on gloss media. Matte black and Photo black inks have their own dedicated nozzles. One can print on fine art paper then glossy paper with no worries, no changes, and no wastage.

FINE Print head The new PRO-series large format printers are equipped with a single 32.51mm (1.28in) wide, 12 colour integrated compact Full photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) printhead. 12 colour pigment inks are ejected from a total of 18 432 nozzles that print with microscopic droplets of minimum 4picoliter and high resolution reproduction of up to 2 400 x 1 200dpi, enabling fast printing while maintaining high quality prints.

High-Precision Mechanical Platform The PRO-series uses a printer mechanical platform with a highly precise and rigid printer frame capable in suppressing oscillation and shaking during print head scanning. Together with high-precision ink placement with little intercolour discrepancy, these greatly influences the ink ejection accuracy for high quality print reproductions.

Non-Firing Detection and Compensation System Equipped with in-built sensor, the non-firing detection and compensation system precisely checks the ink ejection from print head nozzles, eliminating use of clogged nozzles by compensating ink ejection using another nozzle. Misprints caused by nozzle clogging are significantly reduced, maintaining high quality of prints.
