After spending almost two days with 4 safaris being done, the tiger had eluded us in zone 6 of the Ranthambhore National Park. Monsoons meant that core zones would be closed and we had only zones 6-10 open. It had been almost 3 days since any tiger was spotted. It was very difficult to track the tiger as the foliage was too thick. After searching around, following pug marks we were the ones who first saw T-58 that day. Soon he put up a show, crossing the whole zone 6 with vehicles flying to catch a glimpse but because of great knowledge of the guide and driver, we had an exclusive sighting in the end when everyone was confused about the location of the tiger

Hunting style

We had be going round in circles and all across the park for almost 2.5 hours and had seen nothing except 2 sambhars and a glimpse of Rana about 45 feet in the forest. We then came to here and saw a mother and a cub playing in the tall grass. The mother then flew across the road without notice. The cub followed and just gave us a 5 second stare. The whole thing lasted barely a minute. Wildlife is all about PATIENCE
