A Malabar Pit Viper perched in it's natural habitat in the rainforest of Amboli Ghat in Maharashtra.

Ashy Prinia is a common bird which has an ashy coloured head, greyish - brown back and buff - orangey underpart. It has an upright tail with white edges, red eyes, and often a short white eyebrow called supercilium in the birding world, though this may not be always be present in all birds. Ashy prinia is found in urban gardens and farmland in many parts of India and it's small size, distinctive colours and upright tail make it easy to identify. This Prinia is a resident breeder in the Indian Subcontinent, ranging across most of India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Eastern Pakistan, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Western Myanmar.

I clicked this shot of LITTLE GREBE at Purbasthali Bird Sanctuary, West bengal, India. Actually, I have so much of interest in Backlit Photography. On the last Migratory Season, I tried to capture some exceptional images of birds in backlit condition. This shot is a part of that series, in which, the sweet Grebe is fluttering its wings and the golden morning light have created a wonderful foreground with bokeh.

The great wildebeest migration is one of the most phenomenal natural spectacles and considered as the 8th wonder of the world. From July to September the Mara welcomes the Great Migration of thousands of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti in Tanzania to Masai Mara in Kenya. During the wildebeest migration, you will witness how the constant battle for survival makes the Migration Season a particularly exhilarating time to visit . The Mara River crossing activity is considered the climax of the migration period. The thrill to watch this historic moment is beyond words which leaves you with so many emotions where some end up their journey in the middle of the river bravely fighting with the crocodiles or the big cats waiting on the other side and some come out as the worriers to be back again next year .
